Translations
This lesson explains how to add translations to certain elements such as Product and Contract Information, Email Templates, Coupons, and Custom Fields etc.
Translations can help you make your sales process more appealing to buyers from different countries.
Step-By-Step Tutorial
Basic Translation
The base language on Plimus platform is English, and the BuyNow order form includes automated translation that appears according to your customers' IP location or their manual language selection. To see how this works just bring up one of your existing BuyNow pages. By changing the language selection using the pulldown menu you will see the language change on the order section.
In addition to this automatic behavior, there are a number of other elements that you have the ability to set up translations for should you wish to provide them.
For this example let's assume that you want to sell the Mail Manager 2 Product in Spanish-language markets and improve the purchase experience for Spanish speaking customers. First enter Product Information settings.
The 'globe' icon shows that the text in that particular field can be translated. In this instance you want to keep the original name Mail Manager 2, but wish to translate the short description. To start the process click on the Translation (globe) icon.
Translation Screen
This brings up the Translation Screen for 10 basic languages. If desired translations can be added for all these languages.
The colored icon indicates which languages can be automatically translated. To try this method just click on the icon.
You can see that there is no automatic translation option for Danish, Turkish or Swedish. You can therefore leave English in place or manually add the translation you require. All the languages can be manually translated if preferred.
If English is left in place, then the English text will be shown by default.
Adding Translated Text
Here we have automatically translated into Spanish, and have put in a manual translation for German.
To save the translations just press Submit. If you decide you prefer the English then just paste it back in and save again. Your translations will now appear as and when required in the sales process.
This method is the same across many settings in the Plimus Platform, and for instance translations can also be applied to contract names, coupon settings, volume discounts, promotions, custom fields and Email Templates.
Let's close this lesson with a quick look at how this system works for Email Templates.
Email Templates

Access the Email Template from any Contract using the link at the top of page.
This brings up the Email Template Settings screen.
The Email subject and the Email body can both be translated. Let's click on the translation button for the Email body.
Email Template
By default, all the language fields show English. You can decide which ones you wish to translate.
As there is no automatic translation icon it is clear that you can only provide manual translations.
Go ahead and change the texts as you require; save your work after each translation by pressing Submit.
The translated version of your Email Template will now be used by the system for the relevant contract as and when a customer transacts in that language.
